I am proud to present my Manly Rezlark, available for stud.
His parents are:

Father: Ch. Dangerous D'Artagnan Hajan Polonia
Mother: Ch. Elissa Rezlark

In his pedigree there are many International, European and World Champions.
He is a wonderful type, very very angled, temperament always joyful and a perfect size ( 32 cm x 8 kg ).

Many thanks for the compliment about Manly !!

He is really 32 cm tall.
In fact he is very very small for a male !!!
He is already judged and measured to Internationals Dog Shows, and this is his really height.

Best regards Merylisa.

The problem of the size is in Italy, too.
Often in Expo you can see subjects in black and silver colour, not in size.

Acctually if we look at the standart:
SIZE AND WEIGHT
Height at withers Dogs and bitches between 30 and 35 cm.

Weight Dogs and bitches approximately 4 to 8 kg.
I think it's not normal. Do you know miniature whose weight is 4 kg????? My smaller male who is 33,5 cm is 7 kg! And if he would be less than this weight he look sick! I can't imagine schnauzer who is 30 cm and 4 kg Shocked

I know it is very difficoult to find a Miniature Schnauzer small but not impossible, I have a daughter of Euro Ch. Express Man Rezlark ( brother of Elissa Rezlark, mother of Manly ), and she is a very very little girl.
She is 30 cm x 5 kg. Very Happy ù

These are her photos.

The European standard calls for smaller dogs than we want here (and truthfully, it is HARD to win with a small dog here). *If I did this right*, we want our (U.S.) dogs to be 30.48-35.56 cm. Weight is not an issue here, but these dogs would be about 5.89-9.5 kg.

Schnauzers are meant to have BONE and SUBSTANCE. The weight figures you show would not be appropriate for a good schnauzer... in ANY country.

Hi,
He is very beautiful. Smile

Here in England the English kennel Club breed standard for miniature schnauzers say:
Size
Ideal height: dogs: 36 cms (14 ins); bitches: 33 cms (13 ins). Too small, toyish appearing dogs are not typical and undesirable.

Here in our show rings they are quite strict about height, too small or too tall will not get placed!

It says nothing about weight, but my smallest at 13" is 7kg and my largest 8kg.

On height, what is the tallest you would think possible to show? This is an interesting topic, Will start this discussion else where! Started topic in show category.

Unfortunately to look for this, in Italy Miniature Schnauzers black and silver is often too much tall.
Often very wonderful subjects overcome the Standard size.
And 35 cm is maximum height.
I, too, prefer powerful dogs, but into the Standard.

Kind regards Merylisa.

In Italy, the Standard of the Miniature Schnauzer say:

Height from 30 cm to 35 cm.
Weight: from 5 kg to 7 kg.

So, I think a subject is for Show if his/her height is maximum 35 cm.

All the best, Merylisa.

Like twins! Smile Beauties.

About standards: my dog is about 35cm and about 6,5kg. In dog shows judges says, that he is very good proportions, height, but sometimes says, that he is massive. But I thinks it's not bad for males. I like massive males in all of breeds.

35cm would be fine in the UK, infact he could even look small next to some dogs in our rings.

thank you thank you thank you , you are always so kind.

About height: I, too, have your idea.
My Manly is little for a male but he has a strong body and excellent proportions. bounce
I have another male 36 cm always excellent in Show and without defects, Smile But I don't like very much his type. No
I don't know if in the future I will use him, because I think it is more probable to have the right size with parents in the middle of the Standard.
In the black and silver colour is more easy to get bigger subjects then smaller.

Hi Jo !!

You are right.
In Italy, too, in the Shows my Manly sims little, it is very difficoult to find a male more little then 35 cm.
My opinion is if a person wants a Miniature Schnauzer, doesen't want a Standard Schnauzer.
The right work of a breeder is to maintain a breed into its own standard.

I've just been having a look at your males, I prefer the type of your other male more (the one you aren't keen on) lol

Can you tell me why you have the white stripe down the front of the back legs of your dogs? Is this the grooming fashion where you are?

Hi Jo,

Thanks for your compliments about Arthas. Very Happy
I, too, like both my males and Arthas was the first puppy of Minies borned in my home.

About grooming:
Sometimes I like to remove black coat from beard and legs ( like some Arthas's photos ), and sometimes I like to leave it ( like Ceredwyn's photos ).

In Italy, Miniature Schnauzers black and silver are not many and it is enought difficoult to find them in the Shows.
There is not a fashion for the grooming and the Judges want excellent grooms on the dogs but they are not interested about this particular.

All the best Merylisa.
