Re: saber tail?
Oke,but i have never seen that a puppy with great, big ears get some weeks later terrier ears...
And white marks go away when a puppy get older not get more white....??
I don't know what is happend, but for me it don't look as the same puppy....
On your photo have the puppy ver nice head, ears and eyes, and on the pics from Sjannella i see a puppy with a rond eyes and terrier ears.
I have never seen this before.....but is a same that there is now a misunderstanding about a sweet little puppy

Yes, I would never buy such a puppy only because of it's tail. If I want a puppy for show and bred here.
If I want a pet - no problem, I would buy it.

Re: saber tail?
Sjannella, I 'm sorry to hear about this!!! I know how much you wanted a new beautiful showstar
I think also that you don't have the real Jacomo from the photos!!! A real shame
The ears are just perfect for Fox Terriers but for schnauzers..... and what is about his eyes?? I never seen such weird eyes

Re: saber tail?
I would also say that by the pictures of Jacomo posted by Sjannella, he looks more like a MALE 2, when she paid money for the MALE 1. Unfortunately, I also had bad experience of such kind, buying a puppy only by photos...
I really hope that the breeder Pachino will give solution to this situation. The story with the female, in my opinion, is absolutely unforgivable - you can´t sell a puppy without mentioning the hernia and an accident with the tail... as the buyer can´t check it by himself before paying money.
Zeljko, these people trusted you!

Re: saber tail?
Chest spotting is not visible on these photos. Both puppies have low-set ears, but when I lighten the photos enough to really see the puppies, the one labeled puppy #2 has slightly better (higher) ears. When he alerts, they will probably come up a bit higher. There is, however, one major difference between the two puppies that will not change. Puppy #2 has parallel head planes, while the other one does not. If the question is which photo is the actual puppy, that alone should determine which one he is.

what can i do .
pachino sold this dog as show dog ??
I don't know... I would make retour of this puppy and all money back.
It is impossible to say, that such a puppy is "show and breed quality" dog! This is a pet-class puppy with some visible defects - without doubt!

Re: saber tail?
poor little baby..
but you are right, if you "ordered" a showdog, this is really not a showdog....
maybe in Serbia they cropped the dogs and think that we do it also?

Re: saber tail?
The ears need to be taped or glued into place. Not all ears are going to stay down by themselves without some help... particularly as they enter teething. Of my two puppies this year, I had to glue one set of ears (on the male), while the bitch puppy was okay with her ears.
You Europeans sell, and buy, your puppies way too young.... particularly those that you think/hope might be show-quality. Pet-quality should be sold first, and the ones with more potential should be grown out for a while longer before placing. Puppies change a LOT as they grow, and some go through really ugly stages before they mature. One can tell a lot by photos sometimes... but not always. It is always best to get one's hands on a dog and really go over it first, if one can... or have a knowledgeable person do it for you.
I have seen a lot of puppy photos on this and other forums (and on Facebook), and a lot of people rave about some puppies that I think are totally pet-quality. All dogs have faults. One needs to communicate to the breeder about what he/she will accept/tolerate in a show-potential dog... and all breeders need to be honest as to the puppies' faults and qualities. I believe that dogs offered for sale as "show-potential" or "show-quality" should be just that, and the breeder should stand behind that. If the puppy should develop into a dog that is more pet-quality than show-quality for some reason (size, bite, testicles, whatever), the breeder should be willing to replace that puppy with a better one... or what I like to do... sell the replacement dog at a pet-quality price and let the buyer keep the first puppy that was purchased at a show-quality price (unless he would rather do a simple exchange).
If one buys a puppy before teething, it is HIS responsibility to do things like work with those ears. If it had been a puppy that you yourself bred, wouldn't you do the same thing?

Re: saber tail?
Pachino,
I wonder why didn´t you keep so ¨nice¨ female for you? Definetely it would be a sensation in Serbian rings! But, please, don´t start talking about proportions or her wonderful coat... It's a pet dog, and should never be used in breeding, not to produce more ¨beauty¨.
And you were OBLIGATED to tell to the buyers that the tail was broken as far as in Netherland they can´t even dock it.
I´m very-very sorry for you and for your friends, Sjannella.

This is a very correct practice and I also do so if there is a situation

I think, that by this puppy ears are not the biggest problem, but her tail and hernia.
Of course, I can glue ears. But I can not "fix" a broken tail and remove the hernia without medical operation
