Ch Titles in your contry
Hello i wanted to ask you about the rules of champion titles in your contry.
For example in iceland the dog must be 2 years of age to gain this title, and we have no JR. ch.
Ive heard that in Kroatia it can be 15 month old, when he gets ch. title.

UK
Champion must win 3 challenge certificates from 3 different judges, dog must be over 12 months when wining their final ticket (eg the sire of my p/s male was called a 'baby champion' as he had won several CC's as a puppy but couldn't claim the champion title until he won another CC after his first birthday)
We also have
JW (junior warrant) where the dog must win 25 points while between the ages of 6 - 18 months old. He gets 3 points for a class win at a champ show (with 3 or more dogs in the class) and 1 point for BOB or a class win at an open show (with 3 or more dogs present). A certain number of points must be won at champ shows. This is a difficult title to win (only 5 minis got it there year my Levi won his)
ShCM (show certificate of merit) again dog must win 25 points but this is done at open shows only, at least 5 points must be won from group placements or BIS
This is the same for all sizes, no health tests are required and no working tests are required for any size schnauzer.

Very interesting topic!
I live in the Netherlands now, but originally I'm from Ukraine...so, rules in Ukraine. Dog should get:
- 6 х САС on the national shows of Ukraine during 1 year and one day under 5 diff. judges, or
- 4 х САС - three САС on the national shows, and one - on the international show in Ukraine during at least 6 month, or
- 3 х САС - two САС from double International shows in any Ukrainian city and one CAC from double International show in Kyiv (capital of Ukraine)
- 2 х САС - on the double International show in Kyiv.
- best female and male on the National Championship.
Soo, so complicated rules

In the US:
Any dog which shall have won fifteen points shall become a Champion of Record, if six or more of said points shall have been won at two shows with a rating of three or more championship points each and under two different judges, and some one or more of the balance of said points shall have been won under some other judge or judges than the two judges referred to above.
Basically, they can be shown anytime after they are six months old. The number of points at any show is dependent on the number of dogs entered in each sex in each breed (or the number of dogs defeated.. can earn more points if Champion[s] is/are defeated by going Best of Breed), and these numbers vary in different areas of the country. Three, four, and five points at a show are called Majors, and each dog requires two of those for its championship. Point Schedule
We now have a brand-new title of "Grand Champion", and I am not too familiar with it. Grand Championship points for a dog awarded Select Dog or Select Bitch shall count all eligible dogs of their sex defeated in Best of Breed competition in addition to the dogs that competed in the regular classes. Grand Championship points for a dog awarded Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed or Best of Variety of Breed shall count all eligible dogs of their sex competing in Best of Breed competition in addition to the dogs that competed in the regular classes for their sex in calculating Grand Championship points. Any champion which shall have won twenty-five points shall become a Grand Champion of Record, if nine or more of said points shall have been won at three shows with a rating of three or more Grand Championship points each and under three different judges, and some one or more of the balance of said points shall have been won under some other judge or judges than the three judges referred to above and at least one Champion of Record was defeated at three shows.

Yes this is true!
In Croatia the dog can be 15 months old and can get the title.
For the Croatian champion you need 4 CAC , but 2 CAC you must get on CACIB shows.
But this year on CACIB ZAGREB 20. and 21.11.2010. ( www.hks.hr) if you get 2 CACIBs your dog is CROATIAN CHAMPION ( and dog can be 15 months old).
